Why we're building Vaaau
Vaaau was born from lived experience. Our founder is an emigrant — several countries, several relocations, and every time the same story: passports, visas, certificates and lease agreements scattered across chats, clouds and folders.
At some point it became obvious: a family needs one reliable vault for everything that matters — and a chat that answers questions instead of yet another late-night search. That's Vaaau.

What is Vaaau?
Vaaau is a digital vault for your family's documents. Upload passports, contracts, records — anything — and ask questions in chat, like a knowledge base that knows your family.
How does the chat know my documents?
When you upload a document, Vaaau reads and indexes it privately for your family. When you ask a question, it finds the answer in your documents and shows the source.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, and are only accessible to family members you invite. Your documents are never used to train AI models.
Who can see our documents?
Only your family. You control who joins, and roles let you decide who can manage members and settings.
What formats can I upload?
Photos, PDFs, scans, spreadsheets — any common format. You can shoot a document with your camera or import it from the cloud.
Which platforms will be supported?
We're launching on iOS and Android. A web version is on the roadmap.
How much will it cost?
Early access from the waitlist will be free. Pricing for the full version will be announced at launch — waitlist members get the best deal.
